happy weekend

happy weekend! this was the week that never ended in our house. we were in jammies A LOT. last week we packed up and went to the dr because huck was real sick. then we packed up and went to windy gap for the weekend so david could do club music for memphis. then i had about 4 nervous break downs while we were there because my kids were off the wall crazy. i mean - rare form...and by that i mean TERRIBLE. i was in tears. then we came home and took harper to the dr because she is sick. but happy weekend! we are on antibiotics and we are on the up and up.

i have loved taking pictures of my kids at the park. natural light is kind of a game changer.

even super heroes get tired! harper has never seen scooby doo but she loved madden's toy...she was calling him scooby dooby all day.

winter day at the zoo

last friday was an absolute gorgeous day. those are the days i am thankful to work mostly from home. we loaded up and met some friends at the zoo. the nashville zoo is such a fun treat to have up the street. it is small enough for a half day trip. and has a killer playground. of course i brought my new camera!

ladies and gentleman - below are the amazingly adorable mia and zoe florez. what a blessing the florez family is. harper and mia are the same age and play so well together. zoe and huck are the same age. and momma michelle is such an easy friend to hang with. we played, had a picnic and left tired but very HAPPY.

ps - i can't get over how much huck looks like david in that last picture.

hair did's

almost 3 years old (turns 3 in march) and finally got her first haircut. i couldn't get a real good picture of it, but really it was just a trim anyway. she was excited to get a 'hair tut' like daddy.

huck got a trim too. we like to keep his hair high and tight. it's getting harder and harder to hit a moving target which is fairly apparent if you look closely at his hair.
