we grow hair.

so i have been asked over and over again about huck's hair. all i can say is...it's what we do in the ott house. we grow hair. here is proof. huck and harper look kind of like twins really. right when he was born, i said to david...i had harper's twin 2 years later!

happy 2 weeks to b hut.

happy 2 weeks to huck! this is what happens when we try to do tummy time. sleeping. and when he is supposed to be eating...he is doing this. sleeping. but i'm NOT complaining.

harper loves to take pictues of huck with her phone. it's funny to think of her never knowing life without cell phones and computers and her main way to take pictures to be from a cell phone. a beauty and the beast pink one at that. :-) anyway, she was just sitting next to huck's seat saying 'picture' as she snapped away some serious pics of 'b hut' and she refers to him. sometimes he is baby. sometimes he is hut. but normally it is b hut. so cute. not sure when we will get that letter K, but until then, b hut it is!

Harper's favorite game right now is pretending to be asleep. She likes to wake you up with a loud yell. FUN TIMES! Here is a little video...


Also, I think Harper is just as ready as we are to meet baby Huck. As I was packing my hospital bag, she continually wanted to be IN the suitcase. Now if only Huck would have that same enthusiasm!

celebrating a family of 3

i'm celebrating this little lady. as i am preparing to be a family of 4. a mom of 2. i'm gonna cherish these last 3 weeks of my little monkey. i'm gonna soak up every minute. every kiss. every push of the swing. every 'hold you'. every 'i you'. what a gift she is. her little spirit of independence and silliness. lord, thank you for letting me watch her grow and love and learn. me and david are forever changed. we see you clearer. we see beauty stronger. we laugh harder. we feel more. thank you for the gift of life. for proving yourself to us over and over in this little singing bean. sweet harper, we love you with all we got. 'the lord bless you and keep you; the lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the lord lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace.' numbers 6.24-26

happy valentines day!!

happy happy heart day. harper loves 'rosy' or as everyone else known it 'ring around the rosy'. her good friend monroe was in the nursery at church with us this sunday and i think they played rosy 10 times. snuggle up with your valentine and enjoy...

2.4.11 :: this week in pictures

1 - this is what your house looks like when...your mom works from home, is 35 weeks pregnant, has bronchitis and a sinus infection and you have an ear infection yourself.
2 - cute little monkey sitting in her toy basket. you gotta make stuff up when you are at home a lot.
3 - bath time with daddy is SO fun.
4 - finally we are feeling better in the ott house. the snot is still running...but we are laughing and playing. and some melt downs are thrown in to keep us on our toes. :)
